Comedy Movies

  Comedy is a genre of humor-focused movies. These movies are made to draw laughter from the audience. Comedy is generally a cheerful drama, which entertains the audience and is made into entertainment. In the comedy genre, humorous situations, speech, action and characters are often exaggerated. Comedy is a long-standing genre of film and one of the most prolific and popular. Comedy movies have several subgenres. Among them are dark comedy, parody and family comedy.



An example of a dark comedy is Parasite (2019). The Director was Bong Joon-ho, and the screenwriters were Joon-ho and Han Jin-won. The actors Song Kang-ho, Lee Sung-kyun, Cho Yeo-jung, Choi Woo-sik, and Park So-dam appear. At the 72nd Cannes Film Festival, This film won the Palme d'Or, the first Korean film to win the award.





An example of a parody movie is a Hangover

Game. It is an American parody film released in 2014. The director is Josh Stolberg. Ross Nathan and Ben Begley starred. The movie's title and core story are mainly "Hangover" and "The Hunger Game," There are also references to Ted, Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar, Charlie and Chocolate Factory, Human Centipede, Lonely Ranger, Jango Unchained, Thor, Carrie, The Muppet, and Borat.





An example of a family comedy is Home Alone, an American comedy film released in 1990. It was directed by Chris Columbus. Macaulay Culkin, who starred in the movie, was recognized as the world's most famous child actor by Guinness. The Home Alone series  released a total of five movies. The box office grossed $476.68 million worldwide.
